1. How can I post an announcement or job opening on this site or in the Fog Dispenser? Return to Top

Your monthly posting (e.g. help wanted) will appear on the Announcements page and in one issue of the Fog Dispenser newsletter. The charge for these is $50.00 per month. To post an announcement, please send a check for the appropriate amount (payable to "ASHRAE Golden Gate Chapter") to:

Kristin DeMartini [Kristin.S.DeMartini@jci.com]
Johnson Controls, Inc.
7020 Koll Center Pkwy Suite 110
Pleasanton, CA 94566

NOTE: Please do not send checks the Fog Dispenser editor!

Once Kristin  receives payment, he will ask the Fog Dispenser editor and our webmaster, to include your non-advertisement.

IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that there are very strict rules about links to other sites. The rule of thumb is that ASHRAE Chapter websites are not allowed to link to other sites which are not non- profit. For example, we are not allowed to link to a specific company's website.

If you would like to post an announcement on this page, please send an e-mail to Robert Marcial.  An announcement shall have three parts:

1.  A Title
For example: Position Available: HVAC Engineer or Licensed Mechanical Engineer Wanted or Development of Title 25 2005 Standard
2. The announcement text in 100 words or fewer
This page is not intended to tell the entire story about your announcement nor your company. The announcement title and contact information will not count against that word count.
3.

Contact information to submit resume or for getting more information
This contact information can include company name, contact person, address, phone, fax,  etc.  For private ads such as job announcements, we will not post logos nor downloadable documents.

3. I have moved, changed jobs and/or an e-mail address, how do I change my information for the roster or for the Fog Dispenser?

EACH MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER PERSONAL INFORMATION IN ASHRAE'S DATABASE.

YOU MUST MAKE THE CHANGES WITH ASHRAE SOCIETY...NOT THE GG CHAPTER! Because this is your private information, we cannot change your records.  Our chapter downloads your contact information from Society once per month...usually around the middle of the month.  If your information is right at the Society level, we will also have current information for you.  You can update your information on-line in the members-only section of the ASHRAE website at http://xp20.ashrae.org/welcome_asp.htm or by calling ASHRAE at 1-800-5-ASHRAE (800-527-4723).

4. Why have I stopped receiving e-mail announcements for the Fog Dispenser?

Either your address is wrong in the database (see instructions above) or you haven't paid your dues.  Dual chapter members need to report problems to the membership chair upon payment of dues.

Each year the Board selects a Nominating Committee to select candidates for the next year's Board. This committee usually convenes in January and presents their recommendations in February. If you are interested in joining the Board you can either express your interest to a present Board Member or communicate directly to the Nominating Committee. Selection criteria usually includes service on chapter committees with the most weight placed on cornerstone committees like membership, research, student activities, newsletter editor, webmaster, database and TEGA. See instructions above to join one of these committees.
